Loose fitment?

   Looked at a used .45/.410 "survivor" today (SB1)  Aside from missing the choke it was brand new inside and out.  Only issue was the loosness of the reciever to bbl fit.  It locked up tight but when open it was WAY loose.  I treid 8 others and all were tight.  New cross pin the solution or something else.   Was only $125 but I let it sit there for now.   i have no real ned other than it being a decent truck gun and for the price I had to look.

Doesn't matter if it's loose when open, just when it's closed without the forend on. If it's loose without the forend on when closed, it needs to go back to H&R for a new barrel. The only cure for loose when open on a synthetic stock is a new forend.

How true. Unless you have the time to go put into shimming it  :-\

If it's a factory fitted barrel, last 3 digits of the frame serial number are engraved on the left side of the underlug, I always recommend taking advantage of H&R's great service instead of trying to shim it. ;)

I look at it as a great re-do service that should not have to be a re-do.
