hi folks, if the picture goes through??? this is my newest project. 1841 mortar, shoots 460 grain .577 minnie bullets on top of 50 grains FFFg goex. i can't help it, i like small cannons and mortars too! plus they remind me of being a kid, well i'll always be a kid. plus i only have a small lathe, might get a big one sometime. now i know bigger is better, plus there's the whole ego thing. the camp battery has five full size guns,2-6pd bronze guns, 1-12pd. bronze field howitzer, 1- 10pd. parrot rifle, and 1-3in. ordanance rifle. the owners have all the ego and bragging rights in the world. but one thing they can't do is put one in a lunch box! plus with a small working model, the first remarks are usually- well ain't that a cute little thing. until it goes off- then the cussing starts, ended by- how could something that small be so loud and make so much smoke???
