7mm Rem. Mag - 26" barrel.

Your serial number indicates to me a very late model push feed Model 70, which means probably 1993, before the Classics came into general production in 1994.

While we're on the subject of manufacturing dates; serial # 2926XX. It's an 06, and my buddy says the model is : OF 1917. any help would be appreciated, thanks.  Chuck in PA

8ballchaz:  Prolly 1917.

That sounds like a Model 1917 Enfield Rifle, and the wartime (WW I ) production was pretty heavy.
Winchester, alone, made almost 466,000 of those from Aug 1917 to Nov 1918.
