one other thing,  all i ever said was you can make 270 brass from 06 brass, and the other way around.  i wasnt advocating it as a way of gaining mass loads of brass,  just pointing out that it can be done in a pinch.   so you might want to be careful when climbing on that high horse your riding...

no problem dave.  sure,  i will send you a few boxes of bullets, matter of fact, i will even load them up for ya.   just send me your address, and i will load up some very special ones just for you. lol.

MM, Hey...load 'em up and ship 'em out. I have this little tool called the Hornady collet bullet puller. Knock yourself out.

which is it dave?  you who likes to hang people over slight oversights.  first it is a 308 and '06, then magically it becomes the 308 and the 30/30?   dont change the arguement half way through.    yes the 308 and the 06 is very popular,  but so is the 270.  all three probably would tie in a popularity contest.   but dont try to change what you said and bring the 30/30 into the argument after the fact.     ;D

MM, Wow. You are easy to confuse. I don't want to further clarify or I may have you drawing on the wall with big rulers and crayons. The 30-30 brass fireformed to 7-30 Waters was called AN EXAMPLE.  You know, you mentioned fireforming the -06 brass to 270? I've not ever done that, but I have fireformed 30-30 to 7-30 Waters. I would prefer just to buy a good quality 7-30 Waters brass, but I can't seem to find it. My EXAMPLE was to demonstrate my experience in fireforming and nothing else. Fireforming is a PITA. OK, now that I've beat that horse to death and the bones are dust......

Dave

Actually, MM, I think my discussion with you is over.

actually, i have given bullets away on gbo, but that was to nice people; most likely before you were a member.
as far as fire forming 7/30's, i guess you should have considered that before you went that route if it is such an issue for you.  i will be laughing as i neck size my plentiful, easily obtainable 270 brass as i think of you.
anyway, back on topic, in an encore, i would still choose a 270.   ;D
