Simmons Prairie Master Scopes?
« on: June 18, 2007, 05:45:55 AM »
Has anybody had any experience with these?  I have heard that the Whitetail Classic is a good value, but I'm not sure about this "Prairie Master" line.

Thanks,

I have a 4-16 Prairie  master on my 25-06 its is very clear and the target turrets seem to be accurate. For the price you get alot of scope.

What power range are you looking at? I have a 6-24X50 that seems to be nice, but I have not had it long.

I am looking at the 6-24X50.  I need to scope a 223 Handi-rifle, but not spend a lot of cash.

That is the one that I have with a mil dot. It seems to be a clear scope, but I am no scope expert. Let me know if you have any specific questions about this model.

On the Prarie Master Scopes, do the target turrets lock into place after adjustment so they don't move on you if you bump it out in the field?  I had a BSA scope that the turrets had to be locked down with tiny socket set screws before.

Thanks,
