Base and ring question for Kimber 84M
« on: June 18, 2007, 02:39:25 PM »
I need to get some rings and bases for my Kimber 84M in.338 Federal. I've got a Bushnell 4200 3x9-40 on the way.

What rings and bases to you all recommend. The Talley rings and bases are too expensive. I'm thinking Leupold, but am open to suggestions. Low rings? Would that be about right as far as height is concerned? Is the the standard diameter for scopes these days 30mm?

Boy, I had a lot of questions. Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend the Talley lightweight One-Piece scope mounts.  I have them mounted on my Kimber 8400 in 300WSM and they have held up great!

Thanks. I'm confused though-do those one piece mounts have integral bases, or do I need to get the bases separately?
