My Oh My! I bet the muzzle blast is a thing to behold!! Any good gunsmith shop can install a brake for you but be forewarned, the noise will be much worse. Recoil will be somewhat reduced but blast will be even more atrocious. A brake on such a rifle will be very efficient due to the very high muzzle pressure and large volume of gas for the brake to work with..

I had Williams Gunsmithing (aka Williams Firesights/Gunsights, http://www.williamsgunsight.com/)
install one of their Guide Series brakes on my 7mm WSM.  I love it.  It pushes about as hard as a .223 does.  You have to double up on hearing protection though - muffs and plugs.

The website should be able to tell you how to ship your firearm back to them.

It will when you are either losing your hearing, or have a case of tinnitus that drives you nuts.  You will need to increase your hearing protection with a muzzle brake.  It is smart to do so.

eabco.com has an assortment of brakes and installs them. I find the looks of the one adapted from the old military tanks appealing, but that is me. The brake "re-directs" the gas/blast... Yes, you will need alot more hearing protection, AND you want to think about where the gas is going. If you are laying down, you disappear into a cloud of dust thrown up around you... And if you are on a range... those on either side are not going to be thrilled with you... but then how much will you shoot. luck...

Have one of the Weatherby factory service centers install an Accubrake for you. They work very well and the factory warranty will be maintained. I had one installed on my .300 and it's a VERY loud pussycat, now.

I also have a 300 vanguard that i installed a brake on. dont know if their  still in business. Que industries out of Everitt washington st. it adjusts like a browning boss system. all it took was a high temp heat gun( it silver solders on). what a difference! i can dial in my loads like a boss but heed what the other posters say about hearing protection! I get some dirty looks at the range if I bench too close to some one, this is with a 24" barrel. But boy does it tame the sucker down!
Deceased due to a 3rd stroke on Dec. 12, 2011.
