CDL SS Fluted
« on: June 20, 2007, 03:29:42 PM »
Well I couldn't stand it. Should be in early next week. The new CDL with SS fluted barrel was just to tempting. O yea, it will be a 7mag. Have a Bush 4200 2.5x10x50 waiting to top it off. Any thoughts.

Changed my mind on the scope. Will put the 4200 2.5x10x50 on 280 barrel (encore pro hunter).  Will put a 4200 4x16x50 on the new CDL 7mag.

Thoughts? Yes my friend, I am jealous  :o

Get us an update when it arrives. I mentioned in another thread that I've been putting off getting one of those for far 2 long. The time to finally nab one may be at hand. Noone has the XCR Tactical in their distrubutor books(well Gander and the pair of Dicks stores I checked didn't)  so the void might need to be filled  :D

Well it's here, and all I can say is SWEET, SWEET, SWEET.

Got her home, mounted with 4200 4x16x50. Shimmed up just a hair so there's no barrel / stock touching, and twinked the trigger a hair. The new Mark X trigger is very smooth and only took a few min. to adjust. Only had to adjust the weight screw. No creep and very crisp.  She's all ready to go. going to start with the fac Rem 150 swift sciroccos. If she shoots half as good as she looks, I will be a very happy camper.

DID I SAY SWEET, DM

PS- sniperVLS, I'm really not tring to "RUB IT IN"

Congrats on an exceptionally nice rifle!  My local dealer has a half dozen of those CDL SF's on the rack.  Yes, one is a 7mmRM.  And, Lord knows I've been sorely tempted.  But when I found out there was a special run of CDL SF's in 264WM, I couldn't take any more and had them order one up for me.  It came in about a month ago!

Good luck!   ;D
