I need a little help understanding the rules of the game.

As far as the firearm rules go, I don't know much.  I understand single action revolver, lever action pistol cartidge rifle, and double barrel shotgun.  Could somebody explain it to me a little bit better?


That being said would a Ruger Super Blackhawk 7.5" 44mag and Marlin 1894 44 mag be legal to use in this game?

You can use the Blackhawk, but the adjustable sights will put you in the modern category (no big deal) but you will need 2 of them. I shoot a 1894 Marlin in .44 mag, but shoot .44 special as I shoot to much to put up with the mag recoil. For a shotgun you can get either a double or an 1897 Winchester pump (not the 93/97). I have both, but usually shoot the SxS. for shotgun ammo I would suggest the AA featherlites with the feather on the box. My club shoots a lot of shotgun.
