H&R or...
« on: June 21, 2007, 05:11:15 PM »
I need a new forend.  H&R's website seems to list them for under $20.  But, Gunstocks Inc retails them for almost $50.  What gives.  I know mom and pop are plunking out stocks one at a time but is there a difference in the two products?  THNX

GSI stocks not only have to be finished, they have to be fitted too, H&R stocks are bolt on only, just like they come on an out of the box Handi. There's an H&R price list in the FAQs.

Please confirm.  I can order a ready-to-go forend from H&R for $18?  How long is the wait do you think?  There's a price list on the HR site too.  Which is current?

Depends on the shipping time and if they have it in stock, I ordered a camo stock set 2 weeks ago, still haven't got it yet. The 2005 price list is the latest they have, there are typos on the web site, so if there's a difference, just give em a call and ask em, their toll free number is in the FAQs too! ;)
