Alas, the excellent folks at Freedom Arms delivered this gun (including turnaround time for modifications) faster than my bullet order could get here!

Congratulations on buying a really high quality firearm.  With that short barrel it looks like a real handful, give us a range report ASAP!

The recoil takes some getting used to, but is not that bad ... I am not inclined to shoot the top end 500WE loads out of it, but I have shot sort of the top end of the mid-range loads with it and it did fine.

I had 40 rounds, half loaded with 11.8 gr Titegroup/350 grain Sierra JHP, and the other half loaded with 31 gr 4227/350 gr Sierra JHP.

The Titegroup load gave an odd sort of bark ... but shot well. I was on the light end of loading data as I had it in mind to work my way up the recoil ladder with this relatively-new-to-me cartridge. The 4227 load is where the gun is really starting to come into its element. Recoil was predictably easy to deal with. The 4" gun handles well, and the rounding of the butt effectively dehorned the gun. I could wrap a little tape around my middle finger and shoot the 4227 load all day. I am pleased in that there is still a LOT of velocity and bullet weight to be gained and the gun is no worse than a 454 - yet. My target was a tree at about 20 yards; I was in something of a hurry and it was there. Interesting how quick this gun will cut through a branch as thick as my ankle.

I have it in mind that this will be mostly a cast bullet gun in the 400 gr range, but all is certainly well.

fine looking weapon...I was wondering what to do with a stainless gun, white or black..and the black grips look marvelous.
