Anybody noticed on hr1871.com....
« on: June 23, 2007, 05:07:53 AM »
I just noticed today on the factory website that on a few complete rifles and shotguns H&R has links allowing ordering from Davidsons online through a local retailer.  It requires a deposit with Davidsons but it might cut down on miles driven to find a particular firearm.  The prices vary slightly from retailer to retailer listed in my area.

That's something new they've added in just the last few days!! I found no good buys on anything I checked on, looked at a 38--55, cost was considerable more than what we can get one from RR for. ;)

The Whelen isn't being made anymore, but they're still in inventory here and there. ;)

I didn't notice any exceptional prices but as high as gas is it might save some driving.  Another thing...H&R has a really nice full page color ad in the current issue of Shooting Times.
All of this together shows to me that H&R is trying to make it in this current market of WSM's and WSSM's and big bang flops....

Yes, it is encouraging, at least they're not just sitting stagnent and moribund, letting the world pass them by!!
