If you were unfortunate enough to have heard the Commissar Senator Voinovich (R-OH) /Sean Hannity exchange on the radio today, you'd come to realize that congress hasn't watched this film, or anything like it, and they really don't care.  Voinovich came off as quite uninformed and actually pretty stupid.  Being humiliated, he first tried to sound gruff and eventually hung up on Hannity.  The worst thing is when a member of congress is challenged by us on immigration, they become very defensive (resentful), and say something like, "I've been in this business for 40 years, and I know what I'm doing!"  Implying that we mere voters/tax payers are too stupid to grasp the situation and think things through, so we should leave our thinking up to our betters in congress.  There are lots of real skunks on both sides of the aisles.  Maybe the really stupid ones are us, since we manage to send these bozos back to Washington time after time.

We can sit around and talk and criticize our elected officials or we can call and email them and voice our opinions of the immigration issue.They have to realize that they are elected and sent to Washington to be the voice of their constituents NOT the sheeple of the party .They need to vote as their people whom they represent want NOT how THEY view a particular bill.You can find the website and email of your senators and congressmen by going to google.
My grand dad always said that if you don't make a complaint,you don't have a complaint.Well, if you haven't emailed or called your elected representatives then YOU DON'T HAVE A COMPLAINT.I HAVE.

Perhaps Senora Voinovich should take a clue from her anti-gun fellow senator from Ohio, Mr. DeWhine; who the voters ran off last fall.

Stan:  I contacted my congressional delegation twice (including the Representative in case the bill passed the Senate).  I guess thousands of others did the same, because both senators changed their minds overnight and voted to kill the bill.  The local paper has a headline this morning that says both are considered vulnerable when up for election.  That's good, because there's not much worse than a complacent politician.

  I contacted my congressman..just in case the insanity got that far. My comgressman (Randy Kuhl) agreed with me , as he almost always does..

  I didn't bother to call my senators..with a couple winners like Hitlary and Chucky Schumer..no use wasting one's breath !

The bill FAILED today, YEEEEEESSSSSS. tm7. I assume you mean PRESIDENT BUSH??? I really can't get into your disrespect for him and his office. I disagree with his policies on immigration, but will not disrespect him in that manner. POWDERMAN.
