A passing thought was rechambering to a ~.50 cal something, but who knows what the barrel is made of, and older barrels had soldered underlugs. :-\ ???

They had a complete gun at a local shop a while back. I think they wanted $85 or so.

I saw one of those on a nature show a while back.  It was being used to dart animals from a helicopter.  My wife was in the room with me, I pointed out to her the brand of the gun and that it was the same as several of mine.  It only mildly got her attention, just ain't her cup of tea.

We have one on the farm for treating cattle.
It has a breach plug like a muzzle loader.
There is a n offset 22 chamber in that.
Put a color coded 22 "blank" in the back and a dart in the front.
If I remember the receiver had a strange model. sb?
