Yes! Now is not a good time to buy stock in Pyrodex. 777 burns faster (ignition) .... the bullet goes faster (with same volume).... it's much easier to clean (no sulfur).
For instance, when using 100 grains... 777 will produce 250-350 more velocity PSI than pyro. The only disadvantage 777 has is with the use of 777 pellets in side-hammer traditional rifles. It is not recommended as of yet... but that may change in the future. on the bottom of Pyrodex pellets are 5-10 grains of blackpowder (or) similar substance that aids in sure-firing... so far.... 777 does not. Buy the loose... use it in any bp rifle.
