question on reloading 45 acp

I been reloading for some time 40 plus years but pistol reloading it been a long time think I stop back in the 80's .
I am going to get back into it for the 1911 SA mil-spec and have a few questions? need help on.
I see a few bullets of choice I would like to use
OREGON TRAIL LASER CAST 230 GRAIN RN BB .452 DIA
BERRY'S PLATED BULLETS 230 GRAIN RN .451
RAINER BULLETS 230 GRAIN RN .451 DIA
I like to here from guys who use the above and what is the better choice,I also see.451 or 452 dia:

If you get the Laser Cast bullets, make sure you get them at a Cabela's price. I've never tried the other one, but I've heard good things about Rainer.

As far as propellants, you can't go wrong with Bullseye. I haven't worked with WST, and AA #2 is okay. My latest find for .45 ACP is Scot's Solo 1000, now distributed by Accurate. It's hard to find, but the updated load guide is free. That's if you're feeling adventurous. Otherwise, if you've already got Bullseye, go for it.

I shoot the OT 230 LRN in my S&W 4506 but the best powder I have found for them is 6 grains of W231, although I have never tried any that you have listed.  Bullseye has seen a lot of use in 45ACP for a long time by many shooters and should give decent results.

You might want to give Hodgdon Titegroup a try. It is very clean burning and uses small charge weights. You can load a lot of bullets with a pound of powder.

I dont do much load experiementing with 1911s anymore. Each and every one of mine shoot either the lyman 200 swc or the h&g 200 swc and 4.5 grains of surplus aa2 into tiny little groups. Its a good comp load for ppc shooting and a fair defense load.
