More on OSHA's Proposed Changes
« on: July 02, 2007, 01:03:15 PM »
The NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) just released the message below

Wayne
============================
YOUR ACTION NEEDED IMMEDIATELY . . . Proposed changes to an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulation pose a serious threat to the firearms and ammunition industry. Two proposed changes in particular would force retailers to shut down and evacuate their store when a thunderstorm approaches and frisk customers for matches and lighters as they enter the premises. NSSF, the National Association of Firearms Retailers and the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute are encouraging everyone in our industry to take action and learn more about this very serious threat.

See the following link for NRA Institute for Legislative Action recommendations on this issue:

If so inspired:

1.) Copy to CLIPBOARD the NRA ILA pre-written letter at the bottom of the link above
2.) Navigate through the link on the ILA page to the OSHA comment page
3.) Navigate to the COMMENT section of the OSHA page
4.) Navigate to page 18 of 22 (where the referenced RULE is available for comment)
5.) Fill in the requisite information
6.) PASTE the ILA letter
7.) "Word smith" the letter for address format
8.) Add your name at the bottom
9.) Depress SUBMIT
