.223 vs 5.56 mm
« on: July 09, 2007, 08:26:50 AM »
From my research I've found a difference between the 5.56 mil spec surplus and factory .223 Remington (misfires and punctured primers shooting 5.56 in my .223 Handi, but no prob, I reload 52 & 55 gr bullet in factory cases). That being the case, is there similar differences between the .308 and the 7.65 milspec ammo? Pressure and headspacing issues?

 thnx...

You mean 7.62x51. A waste of time and money from most reports, and not recommended.

Yep! 7.62 (fat fingers hitting wrong keys. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!) ::)
