Long Gun

Does anyone know of any drawings for a long gun (I'm thinking something like 4-5" bore, and a long barrel)?

Thank you.  That's exactly what I was looking for.  Know of any drawings for a carriage for something like that?  What kind of steel should I use?  1018 perhaps?

pfaff -

WELCOME to the board

1018 is good steel - revolutionized the cannon making industry world wide in the 1870's - still works.

Keep to standard proven design principles (powder chamber diameter = thickness all around the powder chamber or more).
