Was quite a video...I seem to remember another like it that was filmed in Russia? They were using the same type of  birds to take out Coyotes and had good success.
I would imagine that the shock would be great to the animal upon impact but am still surprised that the birds kill so quickly on a Coyote or a Deer. They must be targeting the spine area.

I would have never thought that a bird, short of a condor, could take down a deer.  Awesome!!!
Just another voice in the crowd!!!

That a deer in that video? Killed bigger rice paddy rats than that "deer".

Looks like a golden eagle and roe deer....  I've heard the golden eagles will take antelope fawns here in the US.

A very convincing video. Definitly saves on the ammo. Better keep one gun though, don't think that raptor will help much at 2am when you hear a window being broken, or the door being busted in.  gypsyman

The birds have to be a bit hungry to want to hunt. I asked "What happens if the Eagle does NOT want to give it's dinner up?" Paul, the birdman, said "It's in the training! They always listen to their masters" Eagles have BIG talons and a sharp beak! I ain't fighting no bird for dinner. That's what a gun is for.
