Change a barrel on a model seven
« on: July 11, 2007, 09:06:12 AM »
Might be wrong forum in so please move to correct one
Have a Model Seven in 308
Purchased a 223 barrel
is it possible to change the barrel and shoot the   the 223 in the same action or did I waste money
for this barrel to use this way?
Did not invest much money in barrel

Hate to tell ya but you have to change the bolt also, the 223 is smaller head size.

I'd give it up as a bad go.  By the time you finish jimmin' around you may have more money in it than a new one.
