"Hey Mr. Spaceman"
« on: July 14, 2007, 03:22:39 PM »
In 1966 Roger Mcguinn of the Byrds wrote about a visit from outer space.
I have been waiting for decades for these visitors to stop at my place.I figure there is plenty of untapped beaver grounds, somewhere in this big universe.
I have 330s and will travel---Hey Mr. Space man, won't you please take me along for a ride?

Mr. Spaceman is considered by many, to be one of the first-Counry rock songs. It was written 2 years prior to the Byrds-Sweetheart of the Rodeo album and their appearance on the Grand ole Opry.

Woke up this morning with light in my eyes and then realized, it was still dark outside. There was a light shining down from they sky--I don't know who or why.
Hey Mr. Spaceman, won't you please take me along--I won't do anything wrong, Hey Mr. Spaceman, won't you please take me along for a ride.
Woke up this morning with flies in my beard,my toothepaste was smeared--over my window they'd written my name, said so long we'll see you again.
Hey Mr. Spaceman, won't you please take me along--I won't do anything wrong,Hey Mr. Spaceman, won't you please take me along for a ride.
Words and music written by R. McGuinn.

I sing this song several times a day, on my Northern beaver line.I like to warn bears of my approach, singing is the way I do this.
I am sure if anyone heard my racket, they would think there was a mad man on the loose. But the singing has worked so far as the bears go. I haven't been charged since I started.

I think proper singing of that spaceman song my require the burning of green vegetation???
In Bogs case I think the clean northern air may have partially frozen part of his brain. Therefore he is unable to, as Newt has done, delete the song from his brain file. LMAO Then again who knows what happens to a person walking alone in the North Woods. Maybe Bog was gone from the truck longer than he knows? Might be that Bog has a chip planted in him and like the Hag, their singing him back home. Stranger things have happened.
Lee
If you get Newt to carry your beavers I'll come up, to watch and take pictures:-)
