I've just bought a Pedersoli Pennsylvania percussion rifle and look foreward to shooting some patched round ball with it. However, as it's a 1:48 twist I also intend casting some REAL bullets in .45 cal. I see that the Lee mould is available for 200 and 250 grn bullets which I understand are referred to as "long' & "short". I'm not likely to be hunting with this gun so would the short 200 grn projectile do for shooting at paper?
I'd imagine you'd need the bigger one for animals but I don't know.
Also-.45 caliber---2F or 3F powder? I'm using 2F in my GPR at present but I've noticed that a lot of you use 3F in various rifles on this forum. All advice appreciated
Mike
