Sako trigger
« on: July 17, 2007, 11:48:58 AM »
Hello folks,

Hope this question is not terribly redundant, but can any of you tell me if a Sako A II stock trigger is adjustable?  If so, is it a task for a talented trigger guy, and how light can it be set?
I tired to get an answer from Sako, via an Beretta website, and wow, did I get lousy service.  The woman actually said she didn't know who, at Sako, I could contact, and "good luck with my project"!
Really pathetic.  Hope you are all having a good summe1

God Bless

Yes, they are quite adjustable and can be made to break quite nicely. How light? Hard to say, 2lb. is pretty easy. I never tried to make them extremely light, they're mostly used for hunting or tactical rifles, after all.
"Give me a lever long enough, and a place to stand, and I'll break the lever."

Hi Nobade,
Hope this gets to ya -- not very adept at working this computer ( or most anything else, most people would tell you!)!
Thanks for the reply -- the onliest one I received.  Kinda puzzling -- would have though other folks out there would have chimed in.
My dilemma is finding a smith that can do the work  Have no-one locally that I know.  A crap shoot at best, and unlike others, my jeans have short pockets!!
Again, thanks for the reply.  Hope your week-end was pleasant.

God Bless

The Sako rifles I have are at the oldest from the 90's.  But all were easily adjustable with an allen wrench from 2-4#'s.  I could insert the allen wrench thru a hole at the trigger guard or drop the action and do it.  Very simple either way.
