I sure hope so, I'd sell my Stainless Steel Marlin 336 and buy one in a heartbeat. The Henry is the nicest lever action on the market now IMO. I' been wanting and saving for one in 44Mag for cast bullets and would love the 30-30 for the same.

http://www.henry-guns.com/press_3030.cfm I like the blued version. Its a little on the Heavy side and its $750(msrp)
The sportsman lives his life vicariously. For he secretly yearns to have lived before, in a simpler time. A time when his love for the land, water, fish and wildlife would be more than just part of his life. It would be his state of mind

I was always a fan of the round but stock with the metal butt plate for the henrys.  I like the wood on the brass a little better too.

I was wondering about this myself, so I emailed Henry.  My local dealers don't have any of the .30-30s and the one said he thought it would be Christmas before they saw any.  Anyway, the reply Henry sent me yesterday said that they just started shipping the blued ones, and that brass ones won't be available until November.  I'm saving up!

I saw the blued steel receiver version today at Gander Mountain here in Mooresville NC. The rifle was much nicer looking than the marlins setting around it because the wood was outstanding along with fit and finish. It was marked $699. I wish it didn't have one of those trigger locks on it so I could have worked the action. I thought it was a better value(and better looking) than the $750 cowboy marlins. One thing I did notice about the henry was the weight, it was heavier than the 30'' 45-70 cowboys they had on hand. The barrel may only be 20" but I don't believe it was tappered at all. If a fellow wants a light weight rifle this isn't it. But if you like a beefy gun that happens to be the best loooking lever made(IMO), here it is. Dave
