dang near all the guns you see including muzzle loaders that have fiber optic sights are plastic so whats your point! Ruger 10/22s have plastic buttplates and a plastic clip. For what it is worth they have metal replacements if the plastic bothers ya.

I wouldn't trade a Winchester for a Henry either but I would buy a Henry to add to my collection of Winchesters. Can't ever have enough lever guns.

Just got another 24 gun safe. I have got it half filled up from guns that never did have one. I haven't traded a gun in 20+ years so I guess I need to let a few go.  Nah you can't have too many. :)

I like Henry's but the Winchesters will be worth more and are worth a bunch now. On a trade you can get about 250 -500+ for a Winchester. A Henry even less.

Well Henry makes a good gun but it doesn't have the Winchester name on it and it doesn't hold the same value of a USA made Winchester.

It's hard to believe the prices of used 30-30s these days (Winchester).  Henry is a good gun, but I think you are crazy to trade a Winchester for a Henry. You will be sorry!

I wouldn't sell a Winchester to buy a Cadillac. Or a Lincoln for you Ford guys. You can buy a Henry anywhere, but original Winchesters in good shape are getting rarer as we type.

Sure are Dee. The Winchesters may be worth more than the Caddy or the Lincoln in the near future. That's why I try to pick up one where I see one for a descent price. I will trade any gun for one.

I own a number of Marlins, Winchesters and Henrys and wouldn't trade any of them. Would I take a Winnie over a Henry, yes I would, but I would take a Marlin over all of them. I can't speak for the Henry Golden Boy but I can speak for the Big Boy and it's a fine shooter and a very smooth action.

I've got there standard .22 one and am buying there big boy 44 mag.


Work that lever fast and you'll never have a problem. Henry's are more solid than winchesters and that mystery metal on the golden boys is really harder than steel.  It's not pure brass but an aloy.

You couldn't give me a Henry because I wouldn't even feel comfortable selling it to someone else to get rid of it.
Let alone sell a Winchester to get a Henry.
