Lever action rifle from Remington: would it sell?

Time to do a little survey! :)

 If Remington(Or, whoever is the owner of the Remington name),  came out with a clip fed lever action rifle that looked old style IE: Winchester 94 or something along those lines, but was clip fed for use of pointed bullets, would you buy one ?

Nope. I like my Remington rifles but prefer to keep them bolt actions. If I want a lever there are enough good makers out there now to suit my tastes. I've no use for a clip fed anything other than .22 rimfire.

Nope...I'm waiting for Savage on resurrect the Model 99... :D

Well, since Zastava and Baikal don't make lever-action rifles, I guess that Remington will never sell a lever action here ;)

No. Remington pump/auto guy. Own one Marlin and four Winchesters. Enough levers for me. Don't even hunt with the ones I have but I would never sell them.

I can't help but think if Savage would bring back the 99 it would not be close to the same rifle.
Kind of like what Browning did to the T-Bolt

I believe a lever action Remington would be a marketing failure for Remington.  I think they could build a fine rifle, but it would hurt Remington's bottom-line.  If the Winchester Brand could not successfully market a modern lever action rifle Remington would be behind the curve.  Marlin a lever action company might be able to sell a box magazine lever action rifle.  But it would be at the risk of cutting into Marlin's current product line.
