Savage 17hmr trigger

Just bought a Savage 93R17 ss bull barrel. But, it does not have the accutrigger. Anyone have any tricks to getting the most out ot this trigger.. Thanks Chad

Thanks Quick, I will check it out. But, I also found a Rifle Basix trigger in Cabelas for $80, but would rather try the cheaper route first..

If you go with the RB trigger, Midsouth has the best price on it. ;)

No, I just read over the thread and it sounds like a simple job and worth the try. Do you know where I could find a nice lam stock for this gun. It has the syn. which is alright, but I would like to really dress it up. I haven't even shot the thing yet, and I am already changing things, guess that is about normal though..

Boyd's and  others make stocks for the 93, I've seen em on ebay too. Check out the Savage forum in the link I posted earlier, there are stock threads on that page and many before it, also use their search feature selecting the Savage forum from the drop down.

Well, I went through the thread that you suggested and performed the shim and spring replacement. It made a world of difference in the trigger, a whole lot better than spending $80 on a RB trigger. Thanks Tim......
