A friend emailed this link to me!
I guess the upside is that they are using local labor!

Just one more in a LONG string of reasons I have no use or respect for labor unions in general.

I noticed when the most recent Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market opened near the house there were some, apparently, union strikers out front, but for the past 6 months or more they were quite obviously upward-immobile transient/homeless types just working for their daily paycheck.  There is no way these people could be part of the normal working world.  I know at least a few are the homeless type, since I have dealt with them in there cardboard box desert abode.

Makes me embarrassed to be a union member.  Actually, my union makes be embarrassed to be a union member.  If it wasn't for the possible need for legal representation I would have been out of it 10 years ago.

Many MANY years ago, when I worked in a grocery store, I was told that I would have to join the Retail Clerks Union. When I said I didn't want to join, I was told that I had no choice.  For three years while in High School, I was a member of this union. And I'll have to admit, they were always right there. The first of every month, they were right there wanting their dues. What did they do for me?? NADA!! Not a single thing that was ever pointed out to me or expressed to me in any way.  I have NEVER joined another union since.
I carry a single shot.
'cause it only takes one shot.

It's a widely known fact that both unions and demicraps will demand an additional nickle in your wages so they can get 4 cents out of it.  Unions today fail to provide any real service or benefits.  They will most likely be eclipsed by legislation that requires employers to provide the benefits directly to labor, effectively cutting out the middleman (union).  JMTCW.  Mikey.
