Opions on these three scopes!!

I was wondering which scope is better and i was wanting to here some opions on them. I am looking at these scopes for a 308 tc encore barrel. 1st VX-II 3-9x40mm or 4X40 Riflescope 2nd Nikon 4X40 or 3-9X40 Monarch 3rd Bushnell 3200 3-9X43 or 4X40. and any other mentionable scopes in this range

I think if you sight through all of them on a scope evaluation stock you are likely to go with the Leupold.

I would rate the Monarch the class of the field. Probably a toss up for second.

i have a Leupold vx1 and its OK and so is the Nikon buckmasters. i have looked at the Bushnell and i still don't know if any of these are worth it. i also looked at the zeiss conquest and what do y'all think of it

There are two brands of scopes that I currently use that I would buy again.  They are Leupold and Nightforce.

There are a couple of brands that I've never used but wouldn't be opposed to trying if the price was very good and they are Burris and Nikon.  I don't have anything against them but given the choice I would go with something I had already tried and found satisfactory.  I have used several Nikon cameras and lenses and have been very satisfied with those products.

There are two brands that I've used that I would never buy again.  They are Bushnell and Tasco.  Actually, Bushnell now owns the Tasco name.  My gripe with Bushnell and Tasco comes from my experience with their warranty service.  I had a Bushnell handgun scope on a handgun.  When it broke and I sent it in, they refused to honor their warranty saying it had been "abused."  I have mounted and used MANY scopes and the only abuse the scope had gone through was undergoing heavy recoil from a handgun which the scope was supposedly designed for.  I think Tasco used to be OK but has been cheapened up; one of them that wouldn't hold zero cost me shots on 2 game animals.  My Tasco/Bushnell experiences taught me that economy doesn't start with a cheap scope.

I've got Leupolds, Bushnell's and Nikons.

For the total package I'd take Leupolds but I've got to say that I really like the Nikon Monarch.  It has a fast focus that the Leupold and Bushnell 4200's just don't have.  The 3200 does have fast focus.  This is a very good feature if you wear glasses.

If eye relief is a problem then a Leupold will give a greater distance.  Leupold has great customer service.

Of the scopes listed, I'd say the Nikon Monarch is optically superior to either.

The Leupold 4x33 or Nikon Monarch 4x40 scopes will be brighter and more clear than the variables. It may be a small difference to your eye but it's there.  The Bushnell 4x40 is in a lower price range class of scopes. None are a bad choice.  Zachary has a Bushnell 1.4x4.5 3200 scope on a M70 .375 and shoots it better than his other rifles.  Peersonally I'd go with the Nikon Buckmaster 4x40 as  I'm not sure if the Monarch 4x40 is still being built. I like the Leupold 4x33 but the reticle is too thin for my taste.

ok. i am going to look at the monarch at bass pro and see if they have it. i got the sales paper and they had the monarch 3-9 for sale for $200. its $120 off so i am going to try to get it

yup. they are all about the same class as i can see. bass pro just has the monarch on sale cheaper than all three. they are all good scopes just the price they have makes it the choice for me
