Garrett +P bullets in a Contender
« on: July 26, 2007, 12:51:42 PM »
Has anyone ever shot .44 cal.  Garrett 330gr.  +P   bullets in a Contender?   On the box it says to only shoot them in  Ruger RH"s  and SRH"s.   Or COR BON   305 gr. Flat Point Penetrators, and 280 gr. BC (Bonded Core).    Thanks

I was curious about that too so I emailed him a while back.  He said it would not be an issue, but at 330 grains you'd have to have chamber lengthened just a bit.

I noticed that the rim of the case on the 330 gr  didn't set all the way in the barrel, it sticks out just a bit.
