Taxidermy maintenance?
« on: June 03, 2003, 03:38:15 AM »
Ooh ahh! The taxidermist just called and said my first "head" is ready. It's a mouflon ram.

How do I maintain it and keep it looking good?

When is the best time to hang it up in the living room? 3am while my wife is asleep or should I be less furtive about it?

Hi

My taxidermist told me to take a high equipment, a  hand whisk broom, and brush it lightly to keep off the dust from building up on the mount.  Ask your what he recommends on what he wants you to do.

Lightly brush it with lemon juice.

I heard to use WD-40 on the antlers/horns. Haven't tried it yet but sounds reasonable.
