Best loads for Elk and Deer for TC Pro Hunter 209x50
« on: July 29, 2007, 12:26:15 PM »
Wife just bought me a new TC Pro Hunter 209x50 in Realtree camo.  Never shot in lines before always center and rimfire.  Looking for recommendations, thinking that Pyrodex and some sort of sabot load would be the way to go.  Any advice is helpful. Thanks.

I have an omega, which is the same gun from a ballistics standpoint. for deer or even elk i would say your best bet is the 250gr Hornady SST on top of 150grs of Triple7 with winchester triple7 primers, my gun will shoot 250 yards with the Nikon omega bdc reticle. and it hits hard even at that range.

Mas19,
thanks I was already set on using the 777 powder compared to all others.  Read a good artilce on the new Barnes TMZ saboted bullets to try too.
