Encore Firing pin rebound spring
« on: July 30, 2007, 03:23:42 AM »
I'm having some instances where the firing pin on my Encore fails to rebound.  I presume there is a spring in there that is either broken or too weak.  Right now, I've got the 45/410 barrel mounted.  It only sticks when I shoot 3" 410's, never when I shoot 2 3/4's.  Is this something I can replace myself with a stronger spring?

Thanks in advance,

In my experience, the regular spring works fine if everything is clean and it isn't broken.  It's very easy to remove the screw holding the breech plate in and remove it and the spring and firing pin.  Cock the hammer and you'll see the allen screw you need to remove.  If it is broken, call T/C and ask for one.

Thanks, I wanted to make sure before I turned the screw and things started popping out.
