Good day Sir, here in NM. it does well as a hay crop but doesnt do good in a grazing program. It is also very hard to get out of the wheat fields once started. in your climate it might be just the thing tho. have a good day and good luck..........Bill

thanx for the reply gdolby,it is goin into a couple of my food plots and probably mixed with either chicory of turnips.I figured to give it a shot because I could get it at a darn good price.

What do you want from it? As a grass I doubt your deer are going to go wild over it. Birds will probably use it when it matures.

It make a great food plot for quail.  Just let it go to seed.
