More rapid expansion with more than ample penetration, hard to have a problem with that, especially for Deer & Antelope. Ever since the TSX was introduced, I have hoped that they would add a tip as
an option to those bullets that would not be too long with this tip (hence the weights they are choosing). The one thing bad about the grooves is the BC dropped when the grooves were added, now they can get some or all of it back.

thank's for the link tim...that was a pretty good read...never really thought about barne's bullet's...until now...i guess i have something new to worry about !!

The 110 grain 270 jumped out to me, could be the base for a manage recoil load for my son. Rather than a new rifle.  And cranked up it could make a dandy long range deer antelope load

On a side note nice to see the rapid response to the Nosler offering, competition will make for better stuff in the long run.
