243 lighter bullets

I am going to buy a savage 12bvss. I am trying to decide which caliber to buy 22-250 or 243. I am looking for info on how good the 1 in 9.25 twist of the savage in 243 will shoot the lighter bullets like 55 60 or 70 ...Thanks

Big T :  According to shilen barrel maker the twist rate the closes to 91/4 that they show for the 243 is 1 in 10 for bullets up to 120 gr and VLD (whatever that is) under 100gr. :D   JIM

I cant tell you about barrel twist rate, but my Tikka 243 absolutely loves 55 gn winchester ballistic tips. :D
