vari flame adapter
« on: August 04, 2007, 06:20:14 PM »
Anyone have any experience with the vari flame adapter that allows you to use small rifle or pistol primers?  I've read the 25acp breech plug is nice,  however the vari flame is a lot cheaper if it works well.

Thanks

I know nothing about it but did notice that our newest Sponsor Precision Rifle offers them as he selected that item to be on one of his four banners in the rotation. If you decide to buy give them a chance to be your supplier. Now we "might" also have other sponsors selling them I really dunno but just noticed that on their banner today.

I have used both the variflame and the 25 acp adapter available from Precision it depends on how much you want to spend They both work well and the 25 acp eliminates  blow back.  They both improve accuracy.  They are a great company to deal with and as Bill says give them a chance you won't be disapointed

It seems I may try the vari flame, because it offers a quick way to return to 209's if for some reason you ran out of the vari flame cap.  Whereas with the 25 acp you would have to change the breech plug back to the original.

Thanks for your input.
