Cannon in Florida Keys
« on: August 05, 2007, 04:11:42 PM »
Sorry I have had a lot of training and testing and have not been on the site.  Just finished a vacation and snapped a few pics you might like.
Key Biscayne city park. I saw a similar topic on Florida Shooters Network and copied it.

Fort Zachory Taylor in Key West.  They also had a Colt Gatling gun but I know this is not a muzzle loader.

Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas (70 miles west of Key West)
This was a surprise.  They had an original Coehorn 24 ounder.

Key Largo in Pennekamp Park.

Nice, I'm uploading pics of my vacation as I write this. I love original pieces, functional or not, its the history of our pastime! Good  stuff!

Glad you all enjoyed them.  The Coehorn was in great shape to be in such a harsh environment. Bronze is a great metal for artillery when you have salt spray.  I should have brought it back for a souvenir.
