Wesson & Harrington Long Range Sight Owners

Is it normal for the sight to get loose or easy to move where/when it pivots?  It seems mechanically sound, but can move easily now until it is vertical.

Where is quickdtoo?  I know he has one.   I am asking about the ladder part of the sight.

Mine is solid, up or down, haven't used it enough to wear it out I guess. :D Bernie has never said anything about his, and he's used it a lot, so I'd give Smith a call about it. Be patient with em tho, takes a while to get in touch with em every time I've tried, email worked best. :-\ They did replace a defective peep slider for me, no charge, just took a few months. :(

So the ladder portion on mine has no resistance until the full buckhorn starts to make contact when raising the ladder.  Then it is solid again.  It was stiffer at first.  I see no problems mechanically.  Should I still contact Smith or just figure that is the way it is?  MV?
