Something to think about...
« on: August 08, 2007, 09:18:57 PM »
Every year just before 4th of July and new years we get a rash of post looking for loads to rattle the neighbors windows and set of car alarms.

Now this may seem like harmless fun to us, but it may not be fun to others.

Something to think about...

Lawyer: Accused Firefighter Snapped

> By THOMAS J. SHEERAN
Associated Press Writer

CLEVELAND (AP) -- A firefighter accused of killing three people at a neighbor's Fourth of July party apparently just snapped, his lawyer said Wednesday.

Terrance Hough Jr., 35, "didn't walk out there with the intent of killing anybody," said attorney John Hildebrand.

Hough, a 12-year Fire Department member, was indicted Tuesday on three counts of aggravated murder and two counts of attempted murder. He could face the death penalty if convicted of any of the most serious counts.

The indictment alleges that Hough planned the killings, a key element in death-penalty cases.

Police said the shootings on the neighbor's driveway apparently were prompted by anger over fireworks and a loud party. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason said Hough fired at victims who had already fallen to the ground wounded, illustrating that the attack "was not a mistake; that's a very intentional act."

Hough's wife had called police several times between 2003 and 2005 complaining about loud noise, drugs, underage drinking and problems with neighbors, police reports show.

The defense was investigating medical issues that might be raised on Hough's behalf, Hildebrand said. He wouldn't elaborate.

Hough, who has been jailed without bond, is to be arraigned Friday.

The victims were identified as Jacob Feichtner, 24, who lived at the house where the party was taking place; Katherine M. Rosby, 26, of Lakewood; and Bruce R. Anderson, 30, of Parma.

(This version CORRECTS the suspect's age to 35, instead of 25.)

That's why I "can't do nothing" at home!
But the easiest way is to invite them over!
