I traded Norm my 300/221 Whisper for a 7-30 Waters. Now that I know I can do it...maybe I will have to let a few more go. It really wasnt that bad, sort of like ending a relationship, but looking forward to the next new adventure and love. It can be scarey at first, but life goes on.

Nice,Robert you will like the 7x30.When you get it try some heavy bullets they have worked out for OLDMAN and thats all my buddy uses in his 12" 7x30.Oh don't forget to try some V-max bullets too.

I had excellent results with the Sierra 139 gn with my 7-30. 1.5 inch groups all day at 100 yds. And I know the gun could do better. That .5" was all me

I got a 7/30 Waters barrel back about a month ago. Been working up a load. I was just loading 3 rounds with different powder loads looking for a good one. My best by far was using the Sierra 130 grn ssp with 31.5 grns of IMR 4895. The three round group measured about .4 inches at one hundred yards. I loaded up a box of those last night and am going to the range tomorrow to see if I can get anywhere near that again!

You guy's should try IMR4064 it was by far the most accurate with heavy bullets.OH ya don't forget H-322 I had a 139gr load that was accurate and fast 2248 fps if I remember right.That was with .375 Win. brass formed.
