Need Advice regarding AR-10

I really like my AR-15 but want more punch.
The AR-10's interest me. Black Gun in a .308. seems right. Any experience or preferences would be appreciated.

A friend of mine is real happy with his DPMS match model (flat top, fluted 24" tube). I've toyed with the idea of getting one and putting a 358 win bbl on it. Hog gun extraordinaire.

For the money, DPMS LR-308 with or without fluted barrel.  I own one and it will shoot sub minute with the right loads.
