Yes. I just wondered how reputable she was, like was she prone to telling stories, or was she a serious type. If that is true it gives me a whole new outlook on this. POWDERMAN.  :) :)

No personal info is ever provided in a report....the persons privacy is always protected......encounters do not constitute proof...they are what they are....someones word.....but what happened is well documented and the people it happened to swear its true? 1965 was a long time ago....and there was other monster sightings in that area....there was a huge media frenzy over the "Sister Lakes Monster"!

a trend is surfacing !
a critter that no one sees , is short of being a human but light years ahead of other critters , that leaves no sign of ever being , attacks only as defense , can open doors on trucks , lives under ground ( maybe a clue to eye glow ) and several other un-proven ideas !
Darwin had the same problem , good thought but no proof ! i wouldn't shoot BIG FOOT or the Easter bunny !
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

After being involved in this effort for ~5 years my perspective has progressed to the point that killing one offhand and just for the sake of extracting a body in expectation of fame & fortune is a fool's errand.  The raft of unintended consequences would likely make the shooter's life a living hell from that day forward.  Case in point, the Humphrey's guy that shot one back in 2000 (The Siege at Honobia) by all accounts hasn't led a life of fame and fortune since then plus, that incident was (allegedly) an act of self-defense.

Perhaps, if you've told more than one version it might get a bit uncomfortable to get pinned down by actually putting it in writing?  Instead of being the "horse's mouth" reckon he just might be the other end?

In this jurisdiction (Oklahoma) there may be the catch-22 in that illegally killing a non-game animal (meaning you cannot conclusively prove it was 100% self-defence) is felony animal abuse and carries a harsher penalty-under-law than spousal abuse.
