Hey, guys! I am new here.

I carry a Taurus ss 85 with a three inch barrel. I use an Uncle Mikes IWB holster.

What's your carry gun and how do you carry it?

The guys on this forum carry just about anything you can imagine! Fron NAA mini revolvers to Desert Eagles. Sounds to me like you've made a good choice in a carry gun. I carried snubbies for years and felt quite safe having one in my belt. I carry other guns, but now and then I slip one of my snubbies on my belt or pocket. The tatically correct crowd that has emerged now has most people convinced that they need an auto with at least 50 rounds of ammo to go to the mailbox. Oh, and don't forget the tatical folder and combat light. Here are my requirements for a carry gun:
1. Reliable--Bang everytime-
2. Safe--Self explanitory
3. Size/weight efficient---Small and light enough to be carried ALL the time.
4. Adequate Caliber----Most powerful that YOU can handle effectively---might be a 22 or a 44----depends on you.
Actually the 38 snubbie pretty well meets the above requirements---!! I carry a gun everyday---all day as part of my job. If I knew I was going to be in a gunfight I'd have a rifle. So therefore the best gun to have is the one you have with you.

Hey whats wrong with the light in the pocket? let me explain i have been considered the paranoid one because i carry a light around the clock, well the other day when the lights went out in the store and the back up system failed me and my one student who carry lights like religion had the only source of light anyplace around in the warehouse club! we simply light the way and help others out side in an orderly manor! now going to the mail box well thats another story but i know what you mean ! :-)

Pawdaddy: Personally I carry several different handguns depending on time of year and type of clothing to be worn at that time, mostly it is a S&W 6906 in a don haum iwb holster or a keltec p11 also in a don haum holster I like both of these weapons alot, there are several others but these 2 probably get 90% of the 100% carry time.

Ok,ok,----I confess to carrying a tac light and a tac folder EVERYWHERE except to bed and in the shower. Even then they're close. Guess I went overboard trying to make a point.

Humm, i have a stainless 38 smith i shower with thats sealed a a zip lock bag while showering! opps did i say that! :oops:

One of my snubbies is a Charter Arms in stainless. Hummm
