Do a Google search for "gurgle pop" or "Gartside gurgler".  These are easy to tie and very bouyant flies made from foam.  A lot easier than hunting up cork for a popper.

For a true cork popper, you're taking cork and gluing to a hook and than paining and maybe just tying on a little feather for a tail.

Look up Bream killer . It is a black chenille  fly  two rubber legs crossed in the middle tied on a #10 hook excellent for big east Texas bream , also good tied as a bend back pattern.
