and yes this is a real bear.

:) Uh No hes not a midget average size guy sorry Matt.
Ya thinking going Solo huh. Well make sure ya can call those ole boys to
come help ya skin and carry the hide even after fleshing it good and
taking out the paws its quite a load.Its best to have some one to help.

going solo on a brownie hunt ain't the best idea.  I hunt solo  a lot but NOT for bears.  The hide of even a smallish brown bear is heavy - especially if wet.   Get those guys that helped with your blackie.

Matt,

Where do you plan on doing your solo brown bear hunt at? I'd hit the Little Su River. Plenty of bears down there and moose season will be open at the same time as well. An older woman took a pretty big brownie out of Point Mack. last year.
