Spotting Scope: Has any used a Leupold Sequia 15-45 x60 ?
« on: August 21, 2007, 04:25:01 PM »
I was interested in this spotting scope but have read mixed reviews. I would be using it at the target range for 100 yard shots and wildlife viewing.  I would consider others in the $250 neighborhood, if anyone has good advice to offer.  Thanks

Wow that's the exact one that I was considering.
What spotting scope did you end up buying?

My wife just bought me a Leupold 15 X45 X60 spotting scope. It just says Leupold Green Ring Spotting Scope in the book so I don't know if it is the same as the Sequoia. I haven't taken it to the range yet but have played with it on the patio. My neighbor Has a white metal fence about 225 yards from me and I can see the white screws in the tin clearly. It is sharp to the edge of the lens too. It is made in Korea, not China. That helps feeling the way I do about Chinese made products.

Hey,
Have you had a chance to take that spotting scope to the range?
This always seems to be the busiest time at the range.
Thanks

Got to the range a few days ago. I'm happy with it. Did some spotting at 200 yds. with it for a couple of security guys from the uranium enrichment facility. It shows .30 caliber holes clearly at that distance. Also learned I don't want these two guys shooting at me.

Thanks for that update.
I'll have to keep looking on e-bay for a used one.
Stay clear of those guys!
