The only shotgun pattern I ever got from any Handi I have ever owned...was from my Topper Deluxe Classic 12ga. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D...which by the way is an excellent little single shot shotgun... ;)

I've been Handiless for several months now and will probably never buy another. I still hang around here just to see what kind of luck others are having with them.

Well, the .223 Ultra Varmint and the .38-55 Target are mine no more!  I picked up a Savage 11 in .223.  It has a accu-trigger and free floating barrel (no concern about forend placement).  I took ammo that I already had on-hand.  A couple of loads were sub-1" @ 100 yd.  And it is lighter than the Ultra.  I took the .22 Hornet Topper with me with a different scope and it shot better, but I'll confine it to under 150 yd. shots.

I am still hanging in there, happier than ever in fact.

I don't by one brand, in fact I hardly have a manufactures match in rifles or shot guns.  Guess Like mixing it up?

I doubt I will ever trade my Handi Hornet.  Yes,  I had to play with it but they are simple and I took my time.  The big improvement for consistent accuracy came when I shimmed and epoxy bedded the forearm lock up then floated the front.  This and a couple other things kept the p.o.i. consistent.  I couldn't be happier with the Handi Hornet for a walking varmint gun.  Just use a Lee Classic Loader to re-load.  I will work the trigger this winter and maybe touch up the crown for something to do.

I like hunting it as much as my Winchester pre war M-70 S.G. collectors gun 22 Hornet.

Not sure I would get another with intentions of a bench rifle per say.  But they sure balance and carry well for walking guns.  As another here mentioned "the Handi Hornet is just to cute to part with".  I agree  :)

Here is a woodchuck I dinged yesterday afternoon from standing off hand.

Here is my fancy old Winchester Hornet

I prefer to have various manufactures.  But........at least the Handi Hornet has won a spot in the rack for the long term.  :)
