Baby Eagle
« on: August 23, 2007, 08:48:30 AM »
I have the opportunity to purchase a Baby Desert Eagle in .40 for a good price and am seriously considering the offer. I've checked around a bit, but have found the reviews to be hard to come by. Aesthetically speaking, it's a thing of beauty, I think. I've read bad reviews about the .45 version of this pistol, and some good reviews on the .40 & 9mm versions. I wanted to pick the brains of the folks here and see what you all thought of this shooter.

One of my friends has a baby eagle 40 cal. and I have shot it many times. It is the best shooting auto I have ever shot. Buy it if the price is right.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

A buddy of mine has one, and it has some unresolved issues.  He bought it used but it looked new, probably not shot much.  It was fine when he got it, but lately it's become a Jam-O-Matic, and I'm not sure what the problem is.  My guess is a spring/Slide velocity issue, but I'm just giving you a heads-up.  The funny thing is, the lower half of the gun looks almost exactly like my EAA Witness, which has yet to jam in 33K+ rounds of all sorts.  Not putting his gun down, I just think it's a timing issue.  See if you can shoot it before you buy, or get some kind of a guarantee!

I have one in the .40 and it is one of the nicest shooting pistols I have.  I am considering buying another one.
